Editorial feedback on first draft of student analytical paper for Communications 101. Emphasize scope of assignment (critical analysis of Frontline video) and encourage arguable thesis. Conferencing in person is better than commenting at this point of development of the paper, but initial comments allow the author to think and plan on his own.
Suggestions for revision on approximately third draft of Insight article. At this point, the article is a developing narrative that needs clear focus. If interested in the final draft, it starts on page eight of the online Insight issue hosted on issu.com.
Second micro edit on article by Insight staff writer. Attention to detail and focus on credible citations.
Handwritten edits on journalism copyediting exam from April 2014 BYU class, Communications 383. The directions were to copyedit the articles, write headlines, and re-write leads, if necessary. My marks are the black pen. Despite a few mistakes, I received the highest score in the class.
Handwritten edits on divorce manual. I am editing a book for an attorney to be self-published at the end of this year. The focus is on making the tone and style readable to the lay person.
